When you subscribe to my newsletter you can expect to get tips on in-season edibles, notices of newly released videos, class updates, botany builder, and news about foraging. I hate spam more than you do as I get over 200 pieces a day here with a filter. I will not share your email information with anyone. Below are links to older newsletters. Enjoyed reading about honey mushrooms…
I live in the foothills near Yosemite and I really interested in finding out what edible and/or medicinal natives are growing near me!
Hi, I love your site and wish to someday meet you in person. Or hear you speak in a seminar in SE VA. I have tried in vain to find a list of all the butterflies, moths, insects that rely on the sweet gum tree as a host plant. Can you refer me to where I can find this information, please? Thank you, Linda Ahlgrim
I have lived about 60 years and never knew I was a forager. I have collected pecans, blackberries, prickly pear tunas, wild plums, persimmons and muscadine grapes all my life whenever the season and opportunity presented. Thanks so much for expanding my palate of choices and adding to the many hobbies that make maturity of years a blessing.
Regards for northeastern Texas

Had subscribed before, loved what I received. Life got hectic and had to let some of my emails go. Thanks for the great information and I will welcome your emails once again.
Wonderful!!

I think this is how you sign up for the newsletter?
Love your videos and information. Thank you!
I would like some help identifying some weeds in your area that I am making into tea (you may live down the street from me from your comments). I have some photos but not sure how to submit them. Is there another way than this?? Thanks.
Hi Deane,
I love your site, can’t believe I never signed up for the newsletter!
If you ever want to come to St. Croix and conduct a class, I’m sure my friends over at caribbeanearthskills.com would love to host you and also have you stay with them on their camp. Maybe you are already in touch with them? Would be great to have you visit us on St. Croix!
Keep up the great work! This site is a treasure.
Warm Regards,
Matt
Thanks for writing. I’ve actually been to St. Croix way back in 1987 or so. Is the newspaper still publishing?
looking forward to reading your newsletter. Moved out into the country with some land and want to learn to use the plants around me.
I am interested in subscribing to your newsletter. I see no other way but to leave a comment here.
On the upper right side of my home page it says sign up for the newsletter. But I added you already.
I live in port charlotte and was wondering if you are available to come to my neighborhood and show me all that is available to eat.
Hi Deane, I also could not find a button to subscribe even though I am on the subscribe page. Please sign me up! I found you looking up info on Yaupon tea. We moved to Gainesville, FL this year and have a small Weeping Yaupon Holly growing in the front yard. Thank you!
There is a newsletter button on the menu then a sign up and once you fill out the form you click on “subscribe.”
Excellent site and vids. Treasure.
I would like to subscribe to the newsletter, but didn’t see an option other than following another commenter’s lead and making a comment of my own! 🙂
Thank you in advance.
Subscription please! (I found the place the submit sign-up should have been, but the video and the following screen were both unavailable with little techy computer sad/confused faces…)
I just read the 10 years’ worth of comments on your Osage Orange post: marvelous! Hubby and I foraged sumac and horse apples today. The sumac to try it, the horse apples to add to our meager supply of OO trees (time to grow some more hedges). I’m off now to start reading your site, thanks so much for all of this information!!
Thank you!
not sure if this is the the right response to “website”. I found your site while exploring edible papaya, mango and avocado fruit and leaf uses.
My home environment is a jungle of volunteers and stick it in the dirt
foliage and never boring. Read your classes schedule dates and regret to have missed the PC class yesterday. I hope to attend one of your classes in future. Look forward to reading your newsletters. Lucie
How do I sign up for the newsletter? Will you hold any classes near Jacksonville, FL? How far & where to will you travel? Thank you
Actually I do hold classes in Jacksonville… this time of year it depends on the weather and which location I use for the class. Recently it has been Tidal View park.
Hey Green deane, I loved your class at Meade gardens I would like to sign up for your newsletter please. I believe you said you had a free class coming up soon could I get the details on that?
Ive singed you up for the newsletter, which had this paragraph: My annual Urban Crawl is coming up, my twelfth, on Friday, December 17th. It’s a free class. We meet in front of Panera’s at 10 a.m. in Winter Park. We wander south to the college, stop at Starbucks to drink & drain, go east to the public library area, then back to Panera’s around noon. There is a free parking garage behind (west) of Paneras if you go to the upper floors. If you park on the city streets you chance a ticket as the class is longer than parking hours allow.
Really informative. Thanks Green
Hi! I’d love to sign up for your newsletter and future classes. I am studying herbalism and am eager to learn more about my local Florida weeds. Thank you so much!

I enjoyed the Cocoa Beach foraging class very much! What a blessing to learn about native/non-native edibles, commune with nature and meet interesting people in the process! It truly was something “completely different”.
